مدرسه آننبرگ در دانشگاه  کاليفورنيای جنوبي usc يکی از شناخته شده ترين دانشکده های ارتباطات در آمريکا است.  اين دانشکده يک مرکز مطالعاتی با عنوان مرکز ديپلماسی عمومی تاسيس کرده است. مهمترين پروژه های مرکز اين هاست: کاملا مشخص است که اين پروژه ها کاملا کاربردي،معطوف به منافع ملی و متمرکز بر خاورميانه است.


The Center is currently pursuing a broad agenda of research and scholarship, conducting empirical research and developing new theories and models for effective action in the field of public diplomacy. A number of research projects are currently in the development process.

Anti-Americanism and Its Impact on Public Diplomacy
This study examines contemporary debate about anti-Americanism through various artifacts such as reports, studies, and global attitudes surveys, among other resources.

Corporate Reputation in the Chinese Marketplace
This is a series of research projects which examine the reputation of multinational U.S. firms that interact in the contemporary Chinese Marketplace.

Foundation for International Understanding
This project is working to create an independent, grant-making foundation to facilitate international diplomacy.

Middle East Media Project
This project will examine core issues at the intersection of media and public diplomacy in the Middle East.

The Private Sector and Public Diplomacy: Corporate Stratigies
This project will begin with the assumption that US public diplomacy will be more effective if private sector involvement is increased. The central question will be: What would a Corporation for Public Diplomacy -- whose mission is to increase private sector involvement in public diplomacy -- look like?

Public Diplomacy and Virtual Worlds
This project will show how massively multiplayer online games create a key target audience for public diplomacy efforts through communication and relationship building.
